Former Pro basketball player Derek Thompkins averaged 21.8 points per game and was a 2,000 point scorer at Virginia Commonwealth University. He played pro ball over seas where he averaged just over 30 points and 6 rebounds per game and also played in the United States Basketball League for 7 years. Over his career he has worked out with numerous NBA organizations including the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards and Denver Nuggets. His involvement with these NBA organizations consisted of Rookie Free Agent Camps, Veterans Camps, Player Workouts and Exhibition Seasons. He is also known for always being in the gym and helping kids with player development. With his experience Derek Thompkins is a true asset to our Rivals program.
