Former Pro Derek Thompkins has had an impressive basketball career where he played at Virginia Commonwealth University. He also played pro ball over seas before he played in the United States Basketball League for 7 years. Over his career he has worked out with numerous NBA organizations including the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards and Denver Nuggets. His involvement with these NBA organizations consisted of Rookie Free Agent Camps, Veterans Camps, Player Workouts and Exhibition Seasons
